In addition to a beautiful Tu B’Shevat Seder enjoyed in class, fourth graders at Westchester Torah Academy were assigned different trees to study as a way to celebrate the chag. Each student researched a type of tree and prepared a presentation in Hebrew that taught their classmates what they learned. Where does the tree grow? What does the tree provide? Why is this tree significant in Jewish life? These were just some of the questions students answered through this fun and meaningful project.
