The Friends of John T Wright Arena is holding a hockey equipment donation program from now through January 15. Help share hockey with New Jersey children by donating new and lightly used youth and adult hockey equipment, including sticks and bags, during this equipment drive to benefit “Hockey in New Jersey” participants.
“Hockey in New Jersey” provides equipment and coaching completely free of cost for inner-city children in Englewood, Jersey City and Newark. It outfits over several hundred new participants each year. Every piece of gear—skates, sticks and bags—goes a long way to help the participating children.
Donations may be left in the large box at the Mackay Ice Rink in Englewood, NJ. Donations are tax deductible and forms are available by contacting Mike Liu from “Hockey in New Jersey” at [email protected].
