Friends of the Israel Defense Forces will be holding its fourth annual Lone Soldier Errand Day on Thursday, February 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Beit Hachayal in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Errand Day was established four years ago in response to the sentiment expressed by many lone soldiers that they are unable to take care of their countless personal matters in the time usually allotted by the army.

More than 1,500 lone soldiers from 50 countries will come together for Errand Day, during which representatives from some 40 government offices will set up booths to help the soldiers manage all of their personal and bureaucratic matters under one roof. The setup will provide administrative assistance for matters that otherwise would involve multiple visits to various governmental offices.

Anyone who will be in Israel on that day is invited to join the FIDF in supporting the lone soldiers and helping ease their transitions and lift their burdens, allowing them to focus on their chosen, heroic task of defending the State of Israel.
