Mr. Gases, the FIDF representative, spoke about the activities and programs that are created with donations to the FIDF. Then the chayalim, dressed in full uniform, entered the room to a standing ovation from the students. The first chayal, Captain Avidav, spoke of his experiences in the Golani Brigade, officers’ school, as platoon commander and his current position as company commander of a field and intelligence battalion. Captain Avidav commanded and successfully executed the first-ever unmanned logistics convoy into Gaza. The next soldier to speak was Lieutenant Italy. After finishing at the top of his company, attending commander courses and officers’ school, he became a squad leader of many soldiers. He served in the West Bank sector for eight months and then continued as deputy company commander of the operation division. The last speaker, dressed in a bright white uniform, was Captain Michael. Currently, he serves as a Navy electronics commander and his unit is extremely successful. The students asked many questions and were eager to hear the soldiers’ responses.
