(Frisch Athletics) For the third year in a row, the Frisch Cougars reign supreme on the tennis court, defeating the Flatbush Falcons in a nail-biting championship match. The undefeated Frisch squad extended their dominance with a final score of 3-2, but the win didn’t come easy.

Flatbush came out swinging, taking home victories in two fiercely contested matches. Marsha Gindi of Flatbush battled Frisch’s captain, Jackie Carter, in an epic showdown that went down to the wire. Gindi ultimately emerged victorious with a 10-8 win, marking her toughest match of the season.

However, Frisch’s steadfast determination shone through. Danya Langer, boasting an undefeated personal record, secured a win at second singles. The doubles teams mirrored Langer’s success. Ava Benkel and Este Eisen dominated the first doubles court, while Nechama Stein and Mia Freedman sealed the deal with a win at second doubles.

“I’m incredibly proud of my team,” said a beaming Jackie Carter. “The support we have for each other, on and off the court, is what makes this team so special.”

Even those sidelined by injury couldn’t dampen the team spirit. Eva Hirsch, a key contributor throughout the season, was unable to play in the finals due to an injury. Despite her absence, her presence was felt on the sidelines as she cheered on her teammates, including her replacement, Molly Bleier, with unwavering support.

Frisch’s victory marks a remarkable chapter in their tennis program’s history. Three consecutive undefeated seasons and championships solidify their position as a force to be reckoned with. The dedication, talent and relentless team spirit of the Frisch Cougars are sure to inspire future generations of tennis players.
