Frisch wished congratulations and bid farewell to the amazing class of 5776/2016 in a meaningful graduation ceremony and celebration.
Gabriel Dardik delivered a beautiful valedictory address weaving in themes of Shavuot. “Even though Shavuot seems to be the crowning moment after seven weeks of the omer, the daily counting of the days in anticipation of Shavuot is in some ways more important than Shavuot itself,”explained Gabriel, who went on to illustrate that it is important to find God in the “murmuring quiet of our daily lives.” So too, he said, is it the case at Frisch, which holds a lot of exciting events but, much more importantly, seeks to instill in its students the value of making Torah a part of their everyday lives,
Zachary Abraham gave a moving salutatory address, highlighting the numerous opportunities for chesed that exist at Frisch and how “Frisch engraved in us the importance of giving back.”
Leeron Carmi and Harry Ottensoser represented their grade to give words of Torah and blessing upon their completion of learning Seder Nezikin.
The assemblage was honored to welcome Dr. Daniel Rynhold, Associate Professor of Modern Jewish Philosophy at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University, to deliver the parents’ address. Mr. Stephen Flatow distributed two student awards: the Sara R. Duker Tikkun Olam Award to Jonathan Seidel and the Alisa M. Flatow Shem Tov Memorial Award to Tali Ramras.
The newest Frisch alumni are smart, talented, empathetic and passionate about their religious growth and positively impacting the world. The faculty and administration of the school are deeply proud of the extraordinary young men and women the students have become, and are excited to see all they will accomplish in the months and years ahead.
