The Frisch girls basketball season has gotten off to a great start. Winning the three out of the first four games has put Frisch on a good path to the playoffs and being major contenders to the rest of the teams in the league. The first game, played against Ramaz, was a close game with both teams playing well. The Frisch defense was at its best, but in the end Ramaz won with a score of 41-31. After that, the team just shook off the loss and realized that they could have done more, taken one more shot, or ran just a little bit more. In practice we started really focused on the small things that could have been different. Bouncing back after defeat was hard, but we did so as a team. The second game, against Maayanot displayed the team’s ability to execute plays and win, even without starter Lea Braun. The third game added to the list of wins as Frisch had a sweeping defeat against Maayanot. Wednesday night November 20 was the most recent game and that too was against Maayanot. The game started with a bang and Frisch dominated the court from start to finish. Both Braun and Langer had big games with 17 and 10 points, respectively. With a third of the season over, there is still much to be worked on, but with these three wins in our pocket, we have become more confident players and a more cohesive team.
