Frisch showed up to play Thursday night as it beat DRS 3-2. This was the first victory by a Frisch team over DRS in seven years.
Odi Haramati scored all three goals and Alex Kershenbaum was stellar in net. Haramati now has a whopping eight goals in two games. Ari Gutenmacher, who has been a wall against Frisch for the past three years, this time showed some weakness.
Frisch jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first period off a wicked shot and a rebound put in by Haramati. The Cougars dominated play for the first two periods keeping the ball in DRS’s zone for most of the time. DRS came into the 3rd looking to make a comeback, and gave Frisch a run for its money scoring two goals and dominating most of the period. Frisch made it count when it needed to though, and was able to hold on for the rest of the game.
The Cougars will be playing away for the next five games starting with a tough SAR team. Frisch, generally a good team on the road, is looking to continue a great start to the 2014-2015 season.
