The Frisch ice hockey team continues to impress, earning a record of 4-1. The one loss was to a talented Fieldston team. Frisch was romped by a score of 8-2. The two goals were scored by sophomore Yisroel Solomon. The Cougars went on to defeat Kearny High School for the second time this season by a score of 7-2, with goals contributed by Benji Fientuch (2,) Aaron Abecassis (2), Eric Zucker (2), Sam Lipschitz (1).
Frisch next played a much more challenging Paramus High School team. The team thought the score would be lopsided, and not in its favor. The result: a little bit of the opposite. The Cougars, outworked and outhustled Paramus to the point that the Paramus coach made his players do sprints in between periods. As the Frisch players started slowing down, a surprise appearance by Principal Rabbi Eli Ciner on the bench gave the Cougars the spark they needed to finish off the game. The final score was 4-1, with goals contributed by Benji Fientuch (2), Aaron Abecassis (1), and Jacob Bach (1).
