Following last year’s undefeated regular season and a trip to the championship game, this year’s team faced the immediate challenge of establishing its own winning identity. Following a 3-1-1 start, the team went into last week with two key home matchups against Ramaz and Kushner. In the first game, Frisch defeated Ramaz 5-2 with a dominating team performance featuring goals from JJ Coren, Aryeh Bloom, Jason Alter and two goals from Elliot Eisner.
Later that same week Frisch faced off at home against Kushner. Frisch was off to an exciting start to the game by scoring two goals in the first period, both by freshman Elliot Eisner. The first goal came off of a turnaround wrist shot on a power play, and the second came shortly after on a quick shot off the faceoff. Eisner would score again in the second period off of a nice backhand move on a breakaway, getting the hat trick and extending Frisch’s lead to three. Later that period Jason Alter of Frisch scored on a tough angled backhand shot, making the game 4-0. Kushner fought back and eventually scored later that period on a power play goal making it 4-1. Later that period Frisch extended their lead as Eisner continued his scoring spree with his fourth goal of the game and Judah Rolnick put in a loose rebound to seal the victory. After the win Frisch JV is now 5-1-1 and looks to take revenge on its rival TABC on January 5 after losing to them earlier in the season.
