The quarterfinal playoff game between Frisch and HANC got off to an exciting start in the first period with multiple opportunities from Frisch that were stopped by HANC’s goalie. Later in the period, Frisch finally broke through and scored a power play goal on a top corner slap shot by Aryeh Bloom. Elliot Eisner of Frisch also scored before the end of the period off of a faceoff, making it a 2-0 game. The second period saw two more Frisch goals, one on a wrap around wrist shot by Jason Alter and the other by Sammy Penn, who put in a pass from Sammy Volodarsky in front of the net, helping Frisch build a comfortable 4-0 lead. HANC finally scored in the third period but it was way too late as Frisch finished it off with a breakaway goal by Eisner leading to a final score of 5-1. With the win, Frisch moves on to play DRS in the next round in a rematch from last year’s championship game.
