This week, Frisch sophomores had their first chesed day. Dr. Tuvia Book introduced the program by speaking about an Israeli organization, Save A Child’s Heart, and the unbelievable work it does treating children from the Arab world and Sub-Saharan Africa with congenital heart diseases—at no cost. Our sophomores then went to do their own acts of kindness by helping prepare meals for the needy at Masbia Soup Kitchen Network; participating in a chesed shel emet by cleaning the cemetery with the Hebrew Free Burial Association; preparing 300 packages of cereal and 100 Shabbat Boxes at Chesed 24/7; and visiting residents at CareOne.
