With so many camps and programs sadly unable to operate this summer, dozens of teens were left wondering how to spend their weeks off. For more than 320 students, Yeshivat Frisch provided the answer. Frisch realized early that there would be high demand for an optional summer school program, and crafted one that meets the diverse academic preferences of the student body—and it’s free of charge for all Frisch students. Signup happened before the end of the year, and students were given a choice of Gemara shiur, Nach, Hebrew (for 10th-11th grade), as well as ACT or SAT prep (for 11th-12th grade). Hebrew or Nach may be taken for credit, allowing students to lighten their course load for the upcoming academic year. Furthermore, with the exception of Gemara (always first thing in the morning) students had a choice of whether to take their course in the morning or evening.

“Frisch is a family, not just a school, and we are grateful and proud that we have been able to keep our virtual doors open to students seeking to learn and remain part of an active Frisch community over the summer,” said Frisch Principal Rabbi Eli Ciner.
