Philip D. Murphy, Former U.S. Ambassador to Germany from 2009 to 2013, will be the speaker at the National Council of Jewish Women’s first study group of the year. Mr. Murphy spent over 20 years in the financial world at Goldman Sachs and served on the firm’s management committee. Since retiring in 2003, he and his wife have focused on civic engagement and philanthropy, especially in the areas of youth and families.
