(TPS) Israel must prepare immediately for the possibility of a Hezbollah attack on Israel in the event that war breaks out between the United States and Iran, Housing Minister Maj. Gen. (res.) Yoav Galant said.
Speaking at The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) 11th Annual International Conference in Tel Aviv, Galant said a U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal would increase the potential for conflict between Washington and Tehran.
“If—and I stress ‘if’—war breaks out between the United States and Iran, the chance that Israel will become involved is very high. Iran cannot hit the U.S., so it will try to harm American interests in the region—namely, the State of Israel,” Galant said.
