This year’s Chanukah chagiga at Bnos Aliya was a truly special occasion, marking a wonderful milestone as kita beis תלמידות received their Chorev Chumashim. The celebration included a play about Sara Schenirer, followed by a mother-daughter activity and a delicious lunch, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for all. The joy and pride in the air as the students celebrated their Mesibas Chumash was inspiring, highlighting their growth in Torah learning and their deepening connection to the values of Yiddishkeit.

The message of the day was to reflect on the important role women have played throughout history during the chag of Chanukah: Yehudis, with her courage and faith, was a shining example of strength and devotion; Sara Schenirer, whose vision and dedication paved the way for women’s Torah learning, helped establish the foundation for Bais Yaakov.

Everyone was so grateful for the opportunity to come together and celebrate this special occasion and Chanukah. May the girls’ learning and actions always be filled with meaning and joy, and may we all continue to serve Hashem with שמחה.
