‘Gan’ Open House Scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 18, at Union ‘Y’

The Early Childhood Center at the YM-YWHA of Union County is hosting an Open House for the “Gan” Nursery Program on Sunday, February 18, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This is a state-licensed pre-school nursery program with a Jewish curriculum. For ages 2 ½-3½, “potty training” is included! This specialized class offers integrated Judaic and secular studies. There is a strong emphasis on Tefilla (prayer), Parsha study, Jewish holidays /celebrations, Israel, Hebrew language and Shabbat. The experienced instructor, Morah Miriam, assisted by Morah Gila, both encourage independence, social development and small and large motor skills in a nurturing and innovative environment.

Included in the 10-month program (Sept-June) are kosher breakfast, lunch and two snacks daily. There are weekly music, art, cooking, gym and swim classes. Hours are 8:15-3:15 with early and late options available.

Come and meet the staff and tour the rooms, including the park-like outdoor settings as well as the large indoor playroom with newly constructed equipment. As a special promo, all those who register on February 18 will receive $100 off tuition, and free family admission to the Purim Carnival (12:30-3:30 at the Y).
