The children of Gan Yaldenu of Teaneck celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut with an imaginary trip to the land of Israel.
They began the trip at the airport where they had their passports and luggage in hand. The children then boarded the plane. Unfortunately, they did have some turbulence, but the snacks served were great.
Upon landing, they had their passports stamped and took a tour of the Western Wall. The children made notes for Hashem and placed them in the cracks of the Kotel. They davened, sang some songs and were off to the beach in Tel Aviv.
They ate lunch at an outside cafe where they were served falafel, pita and, of course, an Israeli flag birthday cake.
The children enjoyed their trip and can’t wait to return to Eretz Yisrael next year.
