If you never observed a Teaneck Board of Education meeting, you only need to watch the recording of the last one to get a true sample of how your tax dollars are being wasted and the paucity of leadership on its board.
Proud graduates (aka “scholars”) got up one by one, either in person or on Zoom, spewing ignorance and hate at a rate that made my head spin.
Hatemongers across New Jersey were corralled to Zoom in for their three minutes of freedom of speech to add to the hate and ignorance. Self-hating Jews were recruited to join in the fracas as well. It turned into an antisemitic, anti-Israel hate rally.
One vile board member who raged uncontrollably caused the meeting to shut down for a few minutes. She was the one who publicly cursed at Teaneck’s most senior rabbi a few months ago. Calls for her resignation from the board for her racist views and words date back over four years. She is an equal opportunity racist, hating Jews and Latinos. There is one bright light that can guide the board and right the ship, and that is Jennifer Levy. I have known Jenni since she was a little girl growing up in Teaneck, and she is an experienced teacher, principal and attorney. Her agenda is pure: It is the students and education of Teaneck residents.
