Get Ready for Your Summer Glow Up

If spring sets the stage, then summer is when the performances begin. Now is the time to get ready for your “summer glow up.” Summer hair is all about embracing a less is more approach. For every wedding, beach weekend, barbecue parties and getaways scheduled, you will want to make sure you have a flattering look that’s just right for each occasion. Below are some of the hottest trending hairstyles this summer that are universally flattering on almost any face shape. If you’re not yet ready for a major transformation, try integrating some of these looks and styles into your current wig collection.

The ’90s Inspired Volume is a huge trend for this summer; think Cindy Crawford and Pamela Anderson. Voluminous hair naturally exudes a confidence in oneself while also giving off the appearance of an instant face lift. You can take almost any wig, blow-dry it with volume and tease it to stay in place to transform your current look. Glam Rock Hair, tousled beach waves, combined with volume and natural frizz will be a popular effortless look. With or without a bang, this look will make heads turn this summer.

The Butterfly Cut, started as a popular TikTok trend, now has a solidified status and is here to stay. This cut can be done on both shoulder length and long hair. The cut combines short layers with long layers to give your hair/wig dimension, movement and body. From the back, the look resembles butterfly wings.

The Nirvana Cut is flooding the red carpets this season. Whether you’re 20 or 70, the nirvana cut suits all ages and face shapes. This cut is defined by its length, grazing the shoulder or collarbone and finished with a blunt cut. It is a super relaxed style, slightly disheveled look that is so versatile and can be parted anywhere.

The Birkin Bang, is named after the British-French actress and singer Jane Birkin, namesake of the iconic Hermes Birkin bag. This bang is characterized by a soft long fringe with thinner and wispier ends, that rests around the eyes and brows. If you have a lace wig that is in need of major repair, you might want to consider cutting this type of bang into the piece instead of spending money on a costly repair.
