I read in last week’s paper (December 26, 2024) the “Light Over Darkness” article about one of our chayalim, Major Maor Lavi, who lost his life last year at the age of 33. His wife and four daughters were introduced to us as well in a picture beside the article. I don’t know why I was so very moved by this story. The young family left behind? His beautiful wife? His need to do hashevat aveida on a chanukiah that he found while battling terrorists in Gaza? All of it? I was overcome with both pride and grief simultaneously. Please continue printing articles (short or long!) about all of our brave soldiers. We need to meet them all!
In gratitude to our chayalim.
