Go Behind Broadway With the Jewish Historical Society

The Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey is presenting “An Evening with Broadway Director Jerry Zaks” on Sunday, June 11 at 7 p.m. It will be a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on before a Broadway show debuts onstage. The virtual event will be held on Zoom.

Former Patersonian and 1963 graduate of Eastside High School, Zaks is a multi-award-winning director of Broadway stage productions. He has directed 26 Broadway shows, most recently “The Music Man,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Hello Dolly!” and “A Bronx Tale.” He is a four-time Tony Award winner, including one for his revival of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” He also directed revivals of “Guys and Dolls,” “Anything Goes” and “Little Shop of Horrors.” Zaks is the recipient of two Outer Critics Circle Awards, an Obie Award and four Drama Desk awards.

Reservations are necessary by June 8 by emailing [email protected] or the JHSNJ office at [email protected]. No reservations will be accepted after that date. Zoom information will be provided upon registration.

While there is no cost for admission, sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $180.
