Esther Shayowitz, a top producing real estate agent at V & N Realty and Teaneck resident, is excited to announce the inaugural Great Teaneck Giveaway, going on now on Instagram. Sixteen local stores, restaurants and vendors are each donating a $50 gift card to one lucky winner who will be chosen next week, on November 16.

Shayowitz said the idea for this giveaway “just came to me. I go to all these stores. I love these stores. I think everyone should shop in these stores; I wanted to create some buzz, some excitement.”

Participating businesses include The Purple Bow, Glatt Express, Gigi and Lo, The Humble Toast, World of Goodies, Carly’z Craze, Velvet Box, Solene, Style Wigs by Shira, On the Table, Sammy’s, Poppy’s, Abbie Sophia Photo, Dougie’s, Wok 18 and Sender’s Smoke Joint.

“I would do it again if other businesses want to participate,” Shayowitz added. “I think it’s important, especially during these times, to support our local businesses. Everyone loves these stores anyway, so it’s not like I need to remind people they are there, but we should support them.”

“I love Teaneck. I sell in Teaneck. These stores are part of the community. This is a great part of living here,” she continued.

Shayowitz noted that some of these businesses aren’t particularly active on social media, and she thought this could also be a way to help boost their presence online.
