This past Sunday, HALB, Hustle & Heart Sports and the HALB PTA hosted 12 eighth grade teams across the Yeshiva League in a one-day 2023 HALB Invitational Basketball Tournament powered by Hustle & Heart Sports. For their third year of hosting, they decided to expand to 12 teams. One parent noted, “This tournament is becoming the eighth grade Sarachek.”

Each team played two seeding games and then were broken into two tiers to compete for the trophy. The games were intense, the competition was fierce and the fans were passionate. Two of the games were rematches of the league championship games: Noam vs. Ramaz and HAFTR vs. Flatbush.

All participants were treated to  lunch and a catered Carlos & Gabbys dinner.

Congratulations to the Noam Knights who defeated the SAR Sting in the Tier 1 championship game and congratulations to the Moriah Mountaineers who defeated the YCQ Wildcats in the Tier 2 championship game. MVP of the tournament
went to Isaac Stepner from the Noam Knights.
