In June, a horrible tragedy took place in Israel. Hallel Yaffa, a 13-year-old who loved to dance, was asleep in her bed when she was murdered by an Arab terrorist. We all were shocked and heartbroken. Dr. Tani Foger, principal at Yeshivat He’Atid immediately wrote a letter to her parent body, expressing her vision for the school.
Our response to terrorism is to spread the light of a Torah education. We at Yeshivat He’Atid will continue to educate our children with the strongest love for Torah, mitzvot and Medinat Yisrael. Our devotion and commitment to Jewish education, for all children, will never waiver.
In the fall, we will launch an after-school dance club in Hallel’s name to honor her memory and to share her passion for dance with our Yeshivat He’Atid students. May her memory be a blessing. Praying for a peaceful Shabbat in Israel and all over the world.
The Club began this past week. I was honored and humbled to be chosen to be the leader of this special dance class to honor the memory of Hallel Yaffa. Her memory inspires the children in their dancing and should always be for a blessing.
