It’s official: a senior Hamas official announced that the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, are those who kidnapped and murdered the three teens Gil-Ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrah and Naftali Frenkel roughly six weeks ago. The official, Sheikh Saleh Al-Aarrori, made the comments during a conference organized by the World Association of Muslim Scholars in Turkey. This is the first time a senior Hamas official admitted that Hamas members were responsible for the kidnapping of the three teens, nor did he call the three teens “soldiers,” as Hamas has done thus far. Hamas did not admit until this week that the organization is responsible for its execution.
This week, IDF forces destroyed the houses of the two kidnappers, as well as the house of the Hamas terrorist squad leader in Hebron in accordance with the Israeli Supreme Court that rejected three attempts to avoid this move over the past few weeks. The Commander of the West Bank Division, Brig. Gen. Tamir Yad’i, said that “the demolition of the terrorists’ houses in Hebron sends a clear message. Those who deal in terror will suffer a heavy blow.”
