The Buds (Pre-K) teachers at Yeshivat Noam participated in a five week evening OT and Handwriting Workshop with Linda Sragow, MA OTR. During this time, the teachers added to their prior knowledge of how to best work with 4- and 5- year-old children when teaching them how to write. The teachers reviewed and acquired additional knowledge to teach the children how to position themselves while writing and drawing, how to hold a writing implement, how to draw shapes, and to form letters. Teachers were also given ideas for additional strategies, tools and toys to help children who might need extra assistance.
