Hans has recently expanded their talented team to include veteran kitchen designer Mike Delcalzo. Delcalzo, who previously worked for Wholesale Kitchen Center, has specialized in kosher kitchen design for the last 25 years. “I design on average three kosher kitchens a week,” said Delcalzo, who approaches each job with excitement and ingenuity. “I consider myself a kitchen geek and I’m proud of it.”
According to Delcalzo, kosher kitchens require a different approach to design. The first order of business is getting to know the client’s lifestyle and what they expect in a kitchen. Once he gets a sense of their needs and expectations, he creates a unique, yet functional, design plan.
The kitchen, especially in Orthodox lifestyles, is often the nucleus of the home. Delcalzo keenly understands the rules surrounding kosher living and has developed beautiful yet efficient kitchen designs for a kosher home. He wants clients to love the look of their space and at the same time enjoy using it.
Delcalzo designs kitchens across the spectrum. No job is too big or too small and each is given the same level of attention to detail. He is also sensitive to budget considerations. “There are always choices and I make sure to provide top quality options at a price point that will work for each client,” he said.
Hans has re-opened the showroom on a reduced schedule and will see clients by appointment only in order to ensure everyone’s safety. In compliance with COVID-19 safety policies, they ask everyone to please wear a mask when entering the showroom and maintain social distancing. All doors, samples and work areas are sanitized before and after every meeting.
