In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, the primer students engaged in a special unit devoted to Dr. Seuss. They read “The Cat in the Hat” and wrote about what they would do if the cat came to their house! Creative writing is an area that is promoted in primer under the guidance of Morah Heather Leibowitz. Another book they explored is “Oh, the Places You’ll Go! which lent itself beautifully to a group discussion about aspirations that the children have for the remainder of the year. Lastly, rhyming games and rhyming fun was had by all, both big and small! Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!
