Parshat Metzora states the different types of korbanot (sacrifices) that are given based on one’s wealth. Despite the different korbanot, they all achieve the goal of getting closer to Hashem. They get close to Hashem because they recognize that this is what Hashem gave them. They need to use it to serve Him.
This week is also Shabbat HaGadol, the great/big Shabbat. This is the Shabbat before Pesach. During Shabbat HaGadol we show Hashem we are worthy of being redeemed and recognize His hand. If that is the case, ask yourself, how am I going to make this Shabbat Gadol big/great? How am I going to use what Hashem gave me to get close to Hashem? How can I use the skills Hashem gave me to bring Mashiach?
Hashem gave each one of us exactly what we need to be our best selves and get close to Him. It may seem that some people have less and others have more, but you have what is needed for you. Understand that some people need a lot to get close to Hashem while others need much less. It is up to us to use the little or big gifts, money, time, etc. to get closer to Hashem and make this Shabbat great! May we all recognize what we have and use it to bring ourselves and others closer to Hashem and bring Mashiach speedily.
