On Tuesday, Yeshivat He’Atid kindergarten classes traveled to New York City and visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The trip was a culmination of the students’ year-long artist study. The children had the opportunity to view several types of art from six of the seven continents. They also enjoyed the artwork of Picasso, Monet, Pollock, Degas, Cezanne and Van Gogh. Everyone had time to observe a piece of art and sketch their personal interpretation of what they saw. After a picnic lunch on the steps of the museum, they returned to school. Each student received a free pass for a return visit with their families. It was an amazing day!
