To strengthen the bonds among middle schoolers, Yeshivat He’Atid held its second annual middle school shabbaton. Fifth and sixth graders stayed local, davening at Congregation Ahavat Shalom (in TABC) and eating meals at Yeshivat He’Atid. The weekend began at school on Friday with challah baking and creating uplifting messages to use as centerpieces at the shabbaton. After school, students enjoyed a round of Monster Mini-Golf and some time in the arcade.
The shabbaton theme was Bein Adam L’chaveiro, focusing on the right way to treat each other. It included meals, singing, Torah learning, thoughtful discussion sessions, achdut and fun. Kol hakavod to all the faculty members who attended for making the Shabbat so special.
