www.jerusalemonline.com—Benzi Lieberman, head of the Israel Land Authority and former MK of the National Religious Party Nahum Langenthal were named as two suspects that police questioned this week in a corruption probe at the authority.
After being interrogated by the Lahav 433 unit last Thursday on the suspicion of fraud and breach of trust, police confirmed both are under house arrest. The investigation revolves around decisions Benzi Lieberman made regarding a particular real estate company he had ties to, and several projects the firm had been involved in.
Langenthal, now an attorney, is suspected of similar conflict-of-interest violations for aiding Lieberman.
