In second grade, He’Atid students have been diving deep into the story of the Jewish people, focusing on the life of Avraham and the promises Hashem made to him. They’ve seen how the Jewish connection to the Land of Israel has remained unbroken since Avraham’s time, and how, throughout history, adversaries like Pharaoh, Haman and Antiochus have tried to harm us and sever our bond with the Torah. Yet, the Jewish People’s strength lies in their unwavering commitment to learning Torah. As part of the Mesibat Chumash, students celebrated their Jewish identity and connection to the Land of Israel through songs, dance and a joyous spirit. The children worked together with their parents and special visitors to learn the first few pesukim of Parshat Lech Lecha, and enjoyed some delicious cupcakes to mark the occasion. Mazel tov to the second graders on this meaningful milestone!
