Heichal HaTorah began the academic year with a successful opening day orientation catering to talmidim across all grade levels. One hundred sixty-one returning talmidim welcomed 61 new students from the Class of 2028, infusing fun and excitement throughout the halls of the yeshiva. The ninth graders heard from Rav Aryeh Stechler, rosh yeshiva; Rav Dovid Goldman, menahel; Dr. Ari Klein, director of Guidance; and Rav Daniel Schwechter, mashgiach ruchani. Each shared inspiring words, highlighting the endless possibilities that each new year brings at Heichal.
The freshmen participated in a multimedia Heichal trivia game led by Rav Avi Epstein, director of Admissions and Student Life. Through this activity, they learned about the many caring and dedicated rebbeim and faculty members they will have the privilege of meeting during their time at the yeshiva. All students enjoyed the soft-serve ice cream truck and energizing music. It was a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with fellow students and rebbeim. The atmosphere was truly electric, with both talmidim and rebbeim sharing their excitement as they embarked on a new year at yeshiva.
