After Rabbi Chaim Marcus’s iyun shiur talmidim completed a comprehensive bechina, the talmidim celebrated their achievement with a shiur trip to Monsey. The trip started with a visit to Bais Medrash Ohr Chaim (Scheiner’s), where they listened to a powerful talk from Rabbi Daniel Koren, shlita, which focused on the development and enhancement of one’s midos in the days leading up to Shavuos. Following the shiur, the talmidim traveled to Bear Mountain, where they experienced a challenging and intense hike, learning to push themselves beyond their limits and recognizing that they are all capable of exceeding the expectations they set for themselves, whether in ruchniyos or gashmiyus. The day concluded with a celebratory dinner in Monsey, after which the boys returned to yeshiva for afternoon classes. Rabbi Marcus expressed what a tremendous experience this was for both himself and his talmidim, emphasizing the strong bonds formed and lasting memories created amongst rebbe and students, and among the students themselves.
