This past weekend, Heichal HaTorah’s 10th and 11th-grade talmidim enjoyed a fun-filled dynamic opening shabbaton, starting the year with major inspiration and energy. Buses departed Heichal for scenic Camp Nageela in Fallsburg, New York on Friday morning, beginning the weekend with bowling and leisure time. Shabbos began with powerful tefillos, divrei Torah and all talmidim joining together for a tish, with energy and ruach permeating the entire campus.

Shabbos day began with a beautiful Shacharis, and the ruach continued throughout the day with fun, learning and an enriching rebbe panel where the rebbeim each discussed various aspects of the Yamim Noraim, adding a personal element to their kesher with the talmidim. The afternoon festivities continued with learning, board games and Shabbos menucha. Shabbos came to a close with beautiful divrei Torah and uplifting zemiros in which the entire Yeshiva participated.

Throughout Shabbos, the boys were treated to divrei Torah from Rabbi Komet, Rabbi Mazurek, Rav Westreich and many others. Motzei Shabbos continued with swimming, a fun game show and a pizza-making melave malka. The night concluded with an uplifting kumzitz followed by a rousing Selichos with the signature Heichal vibe.
