Heichal’s varsity basketball team and its most loyal fans traveled to Deal, New Jersey, for a basketball game followed by a kumzitz and an evening of camaraderie arranged by the Hillel Yeshiva. The evening began with a spirited round of basketball mini-tournament among the Hillel, Waterbury Mesivta, Waterbury Bais Medrash and Heichal teams. After several hours of basketball, the boys had Dougies and began a kumzitz led by the renowned Rabbi Daniel Kalish of the Waterbury Mesivta. The talmidim in all three yeshivos came together through song and inspirational stories. It was a powerful night of achdus for three groups of boys joining from three very different communities but all united in mutual chizuk and yedidus.
