This past week, Heichal HaTorah launched its inaugural Big Brother event, matching incoming freshmen with senior mentors. The ninth graders enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to bond with their big brothers and several rebbeim at the Phillies vs. Mets baseball game, beginning with a schnitzel dinner at yeshiva, after which the entire ninth-grade class, along with their designated big brothers, boarded buses to Citi Field. The goal of this program is to foster a close-knit connection between new talmidim and more experienced seniors, making the young men’s entry into high school smoother and more enjoyable. Heichal plans to host several events throughout the year to help acclimate the ninth graders to yeshiva and create a warm sense of camaraderie among the talmidim across all grades.
