This past weekend, Heichal HaTorah’s 10th and 11th grade talmidim enjoyed an opening shabbaton that kicked off the year with excitement. After a full morning of learning at yeshiva, buses departed for scenic Camp Nageela in Fallsburg, New York, where talmidim participated in inter-grade sports tournaments, swimming, nature hikes and a pre-Shabbos Toameha. Over the course of Shabbos, the boys experienced powerful tefillos, inspiring divrei Torah and shiurim from rebbeim and talmidim, as well as an elevating tish led by Rav Daniel Schwechter. On Motzei Shabbos the talmidim enjoyed a volleyball competition, a fun game show and a pizza melave malka. The night concluded with an uplifting kumzitz followed by a heartfelt Selichos. The talmidim headed back home on Sunday after a beautiful weekend of camaraderie and ruach. This was a Shabbos they will remember for years to come!
