This past week, Heichal talmidim assisted several chaburos (groups) of families and friends in baking their own matzah for Pesach. The groups, organized by Rabbi Danny Senter of the Chof-K, along with his son and Heichal Rebbe Rabbi Zev Senter, met at Heichal HaTorah where a pop-up matzah bakery was created. Over the next few weeks, the talmidim will assist over 30 chaburos. The matzah baking event served as a fundraiser for Heichal’s summer camp, Camp Shoko. At the start of each hour-long session, the Heichal talmidim formed, kneaded and prepared the dough for each group, guiding them in rolling the dough into matzah to be baked and then used on Pesach. The Heichal talmidim also guided each chabura in learning how to properly roll the dough, occasionally breaking into a rousing Hallel, in the signature Heichal vibe.
