This past Shabbos, over 40 Heichal alumni studying in Israel gathered together for an uplifting and unforgettable reunion shabbaton at Yeshivat Sha’alvim, spending a weekend with their Rosh Yeshiva and fellow alumni. Talmidim from over 15 different Israeli yeshivos gathered together for a memorable and meaningful weekend of bonding and friendship at a beautiful and comfortable guest house on the Sha’alvim campus. Talmidim caught up with Heichal’s Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Aryeh Stechler, sharing words of chizuk during this challenging time for Eretz Yisroel, and discussing their growth in learning, and their yeshiva experience.

Throughout Shabbos, Rav Stechler shared words of encouragement and highlighted the importance of recognizing how each individual can contribute in their own way. He expressed how proud he was of each talmid, commending them for their dedication to learning in Israel as a tremendous zchus for all the chayalim. Rav Stechler observed how much the talmidim appreciated their time together, and how significant the reunion was in fostering a sense of camaraderie. Over Shabbos, numerous talmidim shared divrei Torah and divrei bracha, demonstrating their growth over their time in yeshiva. After a full weekend of bonding, inspiration, ruach-filled davening, singing and shmoozing, the shabbaton concluded with a melave malka and spirited dancing in signature Heichal style.
