This past month, talmidim in Rabbi Zev Senter’s 10th grade iyun shiur celebrated a successful year of Torah learning and personal growth with a weekend getaway in the mountains. The weekend started on Lag B’Omer with a day full of sports, a barbeque and bonfire, followed by a Friday hike in Minnewaska State Park. Rabbi Daniel Senter and family joined the talmidim for Shabbos and introduced the boys to the concept of forest forensics, wherein the history of how woodlands develop is examined. Shabbos was packed with sounds of beautiful tefilla and zemiros, nature walks and delicious delicacies. More action-packed tournaments continued on Motzei Shabbos along with an inspirational melave malka. The boys returned from this memorable weekend recharged for more learning in advance of the Heichal HaTorah Mishnahthon and Shavuos.
