Heichal HaTorah talmidim with Dr. Joel Berman, assistant principal of STEM, analyzed the acoustic characteristics of a both a shofar blast and a tuning fork using an oscilloscope at a 1/1000th of a second resolution. Students noticed that the shofar has multiple overtones, while the tuning fork produces a single waveform.
