My dear wife, Anita Miller, who has lived in Tenafly and Demarest for over 40 years, has end-stage kidney disease and desperately needs a life-saving donor kidney, blood type A or O. She is a loving mother, grandmother and wife. Throughout the years, Anita has dedicated herself to community outreach programs that benefit the surrounding Bergen County communities.
Anita is working with Renewal, a remarkable non-profit organization. They have found an email and social media campaign to be an effective technique, and it’s best to cast as wide a net as possible. So, I am sending each of you this message in the hope that you may know of someone who is able and willing to do the incredible mitzvah of donating a kidney in order to save a life. There are many that have donated a kidney, and their health is fine.
To learn how you can save her life or for more information about kidney donation, please call 718 431-9831, ext. 209 or email [email protected]. Renewal’s website is www.renewal.org. All inquiries to Renewal are strictly confidential and are without any obligation. They can also put you in touch with others who have donated a kidney and are willing to share their experience. All medical costs for evaluation and surgery are covered by the recipient’s insurance. Ancillary costs such as travel expenses and lodging may be covered by Renewal.
Please send this post to people with whom you email and your Facebook friends. You never know whether or not there is someone who will respond to this urgent need.
Please join me on Sunday, February 9, at 11 a.m. at Chabad of Tenafly, 11 Harold Street, Tenafly, New Jersey, for a Renewal kidney awareness event for my dear wife. Thank you.
