Once again, the Holocaust Council of Greater MetroWest New Jersey is very proud to receive the largest grant from Iris Teens Tzedaka, a division of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest New Jersey in Whippany. These funds are used to provide mobility to Holocaust survivors who no longer drive, but want to retain their ability to continue to go to schools and other venues to inspire others by sharing their testimonies of endurance and resilience. As ever, the council is grateful to this program, which honors the memory of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ leader Herb Iris and his philanthropic family. The understanding and generosity of the young leaders who are members of Iris Teens enhance the lives of Holocaust survivors and the thousands of students, teachers and members of the general public who are privileged to meet and listen to eyewitnesses to the Holocaust.
