(Courtesy of JFSCNJ) A group of Holocaust survivors, their caregivers, JFSCNJ volunteers and staff enjoyed a program of lunch and entertainment in the Mitzi & Warren Eisenberg Multi-Purpose Center at the JFSCNJ Halpern Building in Elizabeth last week.
The Café Europa Social Program for Holocaust Survivors was also live streamed for the other participants and their caregivers to enjoy in their homes. This program featured musical entertainment from Dave Beasley.
Many thanks to Nathan Budashewitz, JFS social worker; Greg Yucht, JFS Russian-speaking social worker; Debbie Rosenwein, JFS director of Holocaust services; volunteer Janet Jacobs and other staff and volunteers for their help with running the program so smoothly.
JFSCNJ gratefully acknowledges its generous grant funders, the Wilf Family Foundations and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Funds from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ allow JFSCNJ to utilize the technology to provide a hybrid Café Europa program to all of the survivors in the community.
