Teaneck—Holy Name Medical Center is once again the only hospital in the state that is on the list of Best Places to Work, according to NJBIZ magazine. Since 2006, Holy Name has made the list every year, ranking among the top 50 large companies across the state.
“This achievement reflects the tradition of Holy Name and demonstrates the dedication evident in all our employees,” said Michael Maron, president and CEO of Holy Name. “Our staff members’ sense of pride and commitment to their jobs results in a high level of care and patient satisfaction.”
The Best Places to Work survey by NJBIZ magazine ranks 100 New Jersey companies in two categories: 35 large organizations and 65 small and medium-sized businesses. It looks at a number of areas, including work/life balance and salary and benefits. The program also identifies, recognizes and honors the top places that benefit the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.
“Holy Name offers a warm, positive environment for more than 3,000 medical, nursing and allied health and non-clinical staff employees to use their creativity and skills on a daily basis,” said Manny Gonzalez, vice president of Human Resources. “The Medical Center provides ample opportunities to advance professionally while showing how each employee is valued with benefits and amenities that help improve their quality of life.”
Organizations that participate in the Best Places to Work program are rated on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Surveys are also completed by employers as well as employees on an annual basis.
