If you’d like to get a taste of what goes on in the hallways of Bruriah High School, check out Soundbytes! Soundbytes is an entirely student-run website that will give you a glimpse into the day-to-day life of Bruriah students. The editors, seniors Shayna Schwartz and Tamar Klein, update the website regularly with articles and photos of the school’s events. Our staff, a few volunteer students in every grade, write articles about nearly every school-wide event, including guest speakers, a Rosh Chodesh breakfast or even a grade activity. Corresponding pictures from the event get posted along with the articles. The faculty dvar Torah that is given each Friday can be found under the “Living Torah” tab, for everyone to enjoy.
The section labeled “In the Classroom” keeps family and friends informed about the daily Bruriah experience, including bulletin board explanations, and interesting tidbits from the individual classrooms. Additionally, visitors to Soundbytes have a chance to win a five dollar gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts if they are the first to respond correctly to the contest question, the answer to which can be found by clicking around on the website.
As the year is drawing to a close, the Soundbytes editors are working to post all the exciting end-of-year events in Bruriah, like trips and Holiday programming. Visit bhssoundbytes.weebly.com to see for yourself what’s happening at Bruriah!
