Honey Garlic Chicken Drumsticks for Parshat Shemini

In this week’s parsha, Hashem talks about the kosher laws of cows and fish. When it comes to birds, Hashem only gives us a list of non-kosher birds. Luckily, chicken is NOT on that list. So this week, we will make delicious honey garlic chicken drumsticks.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup honey
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 6 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar, or any white vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 package of chicken drumsticks

Directions:

1. Take the chicken and season it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

2. Mix the honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and crushed garlic and put it in a bag with the chicken to marinate overnight.

3. Bake at 350 F for one hour, covered, and then for 20 minutes uncovered.

Enjoy!
